This simple skip based flat wagon kit provides a very cost effective introduction to 7/8 scale.
Easy to assemble chassis
The chassis parts are cut from premium quality MDF board and 1.5 mm ply which slot together to give a nice “square” chassis ensuring good running characteristics with a greatly reduced risk of derailment.
7/8 profile steel wheels
This kit features our new 7/8 scale profile, 22 mm diameter steel wheels. These have wider treads than our usual 16mm scale wheels but still retain “standard” flanges. This gives the wheel a much chunkier appearance ( and noticeably more weight ) while still being able to negotiate common makes of pointwork.
Laser Cut Bodywork
The wagon floor is cut from premium quality 4mm poplar plywood which may be painted, varnished or simply left bare.
3D Printed Sintered Nylon Detailing
The kit includes axle boxes, couplings and tie down lugs 3D printed in an engineering grade nylon. They come pre-coloured in a satin “charcoal black” finish but take paint well if desired
