Description
The Hunslet Engine Company supplied a number of small “first generation” diesel locomotives to a number of customers in the mid 1930’s. These locomotives shared many of the running components and cab details with the company’s contemporary steam locomotives; some were chain driven and others had connecting rods. This kit is based on a couple of photos of 37 horse power examples found in D.H. Townsleys book on the Hunslet Engines works.
This body only kit has been designed to fit the Hornby’s 0-4-0 chassis , the footplate simply clipping to the chassis little catches. This chassis kit is not included in our kit’s price
