July Sabbatical 2026

We are planning to take a 3-4 week break next month to –

A) Catch up with ourselves after the last 9 months

B) Reorganise the workshops and install some new machines

C) Develop a new range of products for launch at “Live Steam in Lymington” show in August

We will continue to ship “stock item” orders during this period as usual.

This break will principally effect our ready-to-run locomotive production. Our order book for June shipping is already full so any loco orders placed now will not ship until September. Sorry for any disappointment this may cause you. We expect the new machines we plan to install next month will increase production capacity and so get us back onto our usual 4 to 8 week production times.

Sales to the EU

Unfortunately the European Union introduced some new legislation in December 2024; called the “General Product Safety Regulations”. Whatever the true motives behind this piece of legislation, it means that it is no longer economically viable for a very small business like ours to post our orders to our customers resident within the EU.

We are therefore unable to ship any of our products to customers within the EU. We are monitoring the situation and should the situation change we will be happy to resume sales to the EU
