Description
The Hunslet 125 diesel locomotive was supplied in Leeds based Hunslet Engine Company to the African Manganese Company in two batches. The first batch built in 1935 was rated at 114 horse power and the second 1941 batch, 125 horse power. These were “first generation” locomotives sharing many of the running components and cab details with the company’s contemporary steam locomotives.
This body only kit has been designed to fit Roundhouse Engineering’s HBK-D3 chassis kit which is gauge adjustable between 32 mm and 4 5mm gauges. This chassis kit is not included in our kit’s price

Laser Cut Bodywork
The Hunslet 125 diesel locomotive body is cut from 2 mm thick acrylic sheet (a.k.a. persex). This is easy to paint as there is no wood grain to disguise. The cab sides also feature rows of pilot holes for easy and accurate location of the 136 rivets .
High quality “SLS” nylon detailing components
The kit includes nearly 200 high quality “SLS” nylon detailing components, including radiator, bonnet front , springs and cab steps.
Louvered side panels
The prototype’s distinctive louvered side panels have been faithfully reproduced in engineering nylon.
Large bonnet interior
The design features a large bonnet interior (126mm long , 62 mm wide and 64mm deep) giving plenty of room for batteries , control gear and even sound boards
