Description
This 1/19 scale kit is based on Ballaglass halt on the Manx Electric Railway line in the Isle of Man. Several of these small stations existed on the various railways found on the island, all with various detail differences.
This building is of a typical wavy-edge plank structure found in so many parts of the world including light railways in this country. The small footprint of this building (20 x 13 cm) makes it ideal for squeezing into that odd corner on your railway.

Plywood Construction
The main structural parts of this kit are laser cut from 3mm poplar plywood to give greater strength. The exterior birch plywood walls have engraved “wavy edge” planking suitable for painting or staining. The detail parts like the window frames are built up from layers of 1.5 mm birch plywood.
High Impact Polystyrene Roof
The corrugated roof overlay is vacumn formed HIPS sheet which has the virtue of being completely rain proof. Window panes are also cut from the same material.
3D printed parts
The front gate and the roof finials are 3D printed plastic for greater strength .
Name Board
The kit includes an engraved roof mounted name board as well as a plain name board for you to name as you wish
Note: If the modeler intends to leave this building out between running sessions then we highly recommend thoroughly varnishing or painting this structure together with the use of a waterproof PVA adhesive (neither of which is not included in this kit).
