Description
This 1/19 scale model kits makes a Hudson’s Sugar cane wagon. The wagon is based on a pair of pictures found in the Hudson’s of Leeds export catalog from about 1950 that appear to be based on their standard steel channel chassis. The model has been scaled to look right behind a medium sized live steam locomotive.
This kit features:
3D printed “Iron work”
The four frame members which have been 3D printed in the same tough material used by all those NHS face masks last year. Together with the steel cross rods gives a model robust enough survive the odd “rough shunt” out on the garden line.
3D Printed Sintered Nylon Axle Boxes
A set of sintered nylon axle boxes are provided that are simply screwed onto the chassis. These provide a very free running wheel bearing without the need for brass bushes. They come pre-coloured in a “carbon black” finish which looks attractive without needing any further painting.
Quality Steel Wheels
Two pairs of 24 mm steel disc wheels are provided (i.e. two axles). These are precision CNC machined with 2mm journals and have insulated bushes in case you use track power.
Available in both 32mm and 45mm track gauges.
Paint and glue are not included
