Description
This 1/19 scale model kit makes a pair of Orenstein and Koppel bolster wagons. The wagons are based on a picture found in the Orenstein & Koppel export catalogue from about 1900 and appear to be based on their standard steel channel chassis. This kit features:
Laser Cut Bodywork
The wagon chassis is cut from premium quality poplar MDF and birch plywood which make a flat easy running chassis.
3D Printed Sintered Nylon Axle Boxes
Two sets of sintered nylon axle boxes are provided that are simply screwed onto the chassis. These provide a very free running wheel bearing without the need for brass bushes. They come pre-coloured in a “carbon black” finish which looks attractive without needing any further painting.
Quality Steel Wheels
Four pairs of 20mm steel disc wheels are provided (i.e. four axles). These are precision CNC machined with 2mm journals and have insulated bushes in case you use track power.
3D Printed Bolster Beam
The bolster beam is also 3D printed in nylon with steel pins , chain and a M3 bolt to provide a robust pivoting beam for your model
