Description
This is a freelance model of a flat wagon used for transporting large and awkward loads. Flat wagons similar to this were found on almost all narrow gauge railways. In addition the modeller can “kit-bash” this kit to design and build their own rolling stock.

This kit features:
Load Securing Rings
The kit includes eight load securing lugs and rings. The lugs are made from 3D printed nylon and 4mm diameter metal rings which are pre-blackened. The wagon edge strips come “pre drilled” for easy fixing of these lugs. However a pair of plain strips are also provided so the modeller may choose to locate the lugs in alternative positions e.g. on the wagon floor itself, by drilling their own holes.
3D Printed Sintered Nylon Axle Guards
A set of sintered nylon axle gurads are provided that are simply screwed onto the sole bars. These provide a very free running wheel bearing without the need for brass bushes. They come pre-coloured in a “carbon black” finish which looks attractive without needing any further painting. These axle guards are now available in our “Home Builder Section”.
Quality Steel Wheels
Two pairs of 24 mm steel disc wheels are provided (i.e. two axles). These are precision CNC machined with 2mm journals and have insulated bushes in case you use track power.
The kit includes a centre dumb buffer (with hook) set at the correct 24mm above rail head, height. An alternative pair of buffer beams with suitably placed holes is also provided if the customer prefers to replace these with Accucraft chopper couplings (not provided).
